International human rights experts Dirk Voorhoof and Serge Gutwirth have co-authored a thought provoking article about the right to protest under threat.

Professor Dirk Voorhoof recently provided testimony in the case again the Tokyo Two, our activists who risked jail time for exposing the fraud that is Japanese “scientific” whaling. He explained that it is the role of activists and NGOs to sometimes break the law in order to expose a far more sinister crime.
In the case of the Tokyo Two, they are alleged to have trespassed and stolen whale meat. But after intercepting the meat they handed it over immediately to police as evidence of corruption in the whaling industry.
