To avoid catastrophic climate change, we need a rescue plan for our planet now.
This year, the United Nations’ top scientists released a climate rescue plan for our planet. It sets out what we need to do to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees. That means giving us in the Pacific, and others on the frontlines of climate change, a fighting chance to survive and thrive.
In a few days, world leaders will meet in the Marshall Islands for the Climate Vulnerable Forum to discuss what needs to be done to avert catastrophic climate change in light of this landmark report. We’re planning something big to make sure wealthy, polluting countries step up to the challenge, but we need your help to pull it off.

This summit comes at a crucial moment for the climate.
Almost every country committed to keep global warming below 2 degrees under the Paris Agreement, but the warning that this is nowhere near good enough has never been clearer. Countries aren’t even on track to stay below 2 degrees!
Coal, oil and gas continues to be extracted and burnt all over the world, feeding the climate change monster that devours our homes, floods our streets and plucks our loved ones from this Earth.
A number of leaders of wealthy countries will join countries facing the impacts of climate change right now for the Summit. It’s important that they know that people from all over the world are watching them closely and demanding action.
We need thousands of people like you to show world leaders that we expect concrete plans on how they will phase out fossil fuels to fight global warming. Let’s show them how many people are watching and remind them what’s at stake.
Here in the Pacific, climate change has already stolen so much from us – our beaches are disappearing with the rising seawater and we fear the next cyclone that could take our loved ones, our homes and our schools. But we refuse to let greedy companies and the governments that enable them to get away with it.
