On Sunday night Cairns local residents helped to create a 3000 candle art installation in the shape of a wind turbine on Cairns city esplanade. The event marked the end of our highly successful 6-week tour up the eastern seaboard from Sydney to Cairns. It was a beautiful statement of the community’s support for our message of the need for an Energy [R]evolution.
While the event marked the end of our Tour, the campaign will continue until we see support from our political leaders for an Energy [R]evolution. One thing this tour has affirmed for us is that we’re not alone in calling for this: there is a growing movement of ordinary Australians who are demanding the strong climate change action they were promised during the election.
