What: Climate Change Human Sign

Time: 11:00 am (sharp) for about an hour, rain of shine this outdoor event proceeds.
Where: St.Kilda Beach in front of the St.Kilda Sea Baths (Melway Map 2N, J7)
Cost: Free. There will also be free entertainment for children.People from all over Melbourne, are gathering to form the world’s biggest Climate Change Human Sign. 10,000 people are sending a message to government, that if they don’t act now, it will soon be too late. We have a CLIMATE EMERGENCY, and EMERGENCY action is needed, NOW!However the event itself is not all gloom and doom. It will be a family friendly event, with dancers, acrobats, and musicians to entertain the kids. Lots of kids from schools in nearby suburbs will be attending with their parents. There will be a plane taking aerial photos of the people making the SIGN. If the expected 10,000 people attend, it be a Guinness World Record for a Human Sign. Afterwards you can go to the St.Kilda Esplanade Craft Market, Luna Park, picnic at Catani Gardens, or have lunch at one of the restaurants in the St.Kilda Sea Baths, or nearby Acland or Fitzroy Streets.
The event is jointly organised by LIVE, Bayside Climate Change Action Group, Port Phillip EcoCentre, Cool Melbourne and Sustainability in Stonnington. More details, with videos, are on www.live.org.au
